IPAM uses deforestation data to develop activities that go from creating unique maps to more thorough analysis that help subsidize projects and combat policies against deforestation on states, municipalities, settlements and protected areas (Indigenous Lands and Conservation Unities). Below a few examples of maps and studies that IPAM develops based on deforestation data.

Deforestation data might be evaluated by municipality. IPAM has been using this data to evaluate deforestation reduction in the critical municipalities of the Amazon. Maps as you see below, that show the percentage of the area of the municipality already deforested represent an important meter of the Municipalities where deforestation happened on a larger scale from 2000 to 2010
